Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Boston, with additional offices in Los Angeles, Denver, Mojave, and Auckland, NZ, Merlin is an autonomous aviation technology company creating the industry standards for transforming the way people and things move around the world. Setting the standards for both autonomous takeoffs and landings, we aimed to create a brand that evoked a similar energy.
Grounded by the idea of making the unimaginable tangible, we built a dynamic identity that both celebrated the success of countless hours of test flights and engineering, but also the super-human employees making that a reality. Leaning hard into a retro-futuristic feel, the brand was meant to attract fresh talent to this fast-growing company and communicate complex feats of engineering to a wide audience.
